BV TECH presented Wednesday, December 6, during the appointment held at Palazzo Madama “BV TECH, the ICTALIA Project: Platforms, Solutions and Services for National Data Security and Critical Infrastructures”.

ICTALIA was born from the need to give central place on international markets to the sector of technology and innovation Made In Italy: in a thriving sector, which only in Italy, in 2022, grew by 15%, generating a value of over 23 billion euros (Data Anitec – Assinform), our country has lost in the last 30 years a historical competitive advantage. Hence the need to create a “national champion”, a subject able to dialogue in an authoritative manner with institutions and companies, playing a role of playmaker in the revival of the national ICT industry.

“Technological systems must be the backbone of our society’s evolution. It is necessary to build and secure the future of Italy through research and innovation, while awakening and determining a new national technological knowledge, protecting the national interest through a virtuous network of public-private collaboration. We are launching Ictalia with the aim of giving new life and awareness to the sector: BV TECH wants to be among the protagonists of change in our country, our desire is to become a point of reference for other companies and for the market, an aggregator capable of bringing together the best Italian companies in a system operation,” explained Raffaele Boccardo, founder and President of BV TECH.

Senators Enrico Borghi and Licia Ronzulli, in addition to Prefect Bruno Frattasi, General Manager of the National Cybersecurity Agency, and Prefect Alessandra Guidi, also contributed to the meeting in the Senate, Deputy Director of the Department of Security Information (DIS). Together with them, also experts and entrepreneurs, such as Alvise Biffi, Vice President of Assolombarda and CEO of Secure Network, a leading company in Italy and Europe for offensive cybersecurity, part of BV TECH. «Cybersecurity and artificial intelligence have evidenced, once more, the real necessity that our Country has to invest in these technologies, to structural level: from the formation of competences to the development of new solutions, there is an urgent need to create a new Italian model of ICT, which allows us to compete again at high levels on international markets, at the same time managing internally a very important mass of data and information crucial for Italy and for our productive and industrial fabric. With ICTALIA we want to give a message to all the realities, small and medium, active in these fields, to create a reality capable of responding effectively to the change underway» commented Biffi.

BV TECH – which today operates in Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, UK and USA, with more than 1,200 highly specialized employees – expects to close 2023 with revenues of over 160 million euros, and an EBITDA of 22%.
