Gottaglie’s CyberLab at the Politecnico di Bari
Meet the students of computer engineering and telecommunications engineering
06/05/2023
As part of the dissemination activities of the results of the
research activities carried out by BV TECH within the Contract of
Program, on May 17, 2024, colleagues from the CyberLab in Grottaglie presented some of the results achieved to students of the master’s degree courses in Computer Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering at the Politecnico di Bari.
A CTF exercise
Thanks to the kind invitation of Prof. Ing. Ilaria Cianci of the Telematics Lab (DEI), lecturer of the Ethical Hacking course, a CTF (Capture The Flag) type exercise was carried out in guided mode involving about 30 students, aimed at the consolidation and experimental verification of the notions learned in the classroom during the course of the lectures.
The exercise scenario was structured “ad hoc” for teaching needs using the BV TECH Cyber Range prototype, within which there are some components of the CyberSuite such as NGFW, IDS and SIEM, of which the operation and capabilities offered were illustrated on a practical level, finding great interest both among the participating students and from the lecturer.
Kudos to all colleagues from the CyberLab of Grottaglie who
participated in the creation of the exercise scenario and
the event, and a heartfelt thank you to Prof. Ing. Cianci and all
the students who participated.
